The European Conservatory of Music (in Greek Evropaiko Odeio) was established in 1981 in Nicosia. It set as its purpose the advancement of music education in Cyprus to the standards of European countries.

The initiative belonged to a forward looking young musician, Mrs Litsa Koutalari–Ioannou, a graduate of the Hellenic Conservatory of Athens, who followed a three year higher education at the Conservatoire Royal de Musique des Bruxelles of Belgium.

The music school offers classes in piano, violin, guitar, cello, saxophone, singing, and ethnic instruments (e.g. djembe and didjeridoo). Classes are also offered in music theory and history, and in music pre-education for 3-5 year old children.

The premises are in Strovolos, Nicosia.
